Jane Eyre (1997)
Come me vi era sfuggita quest’altra versione, un film per la Tv, degli adattamenti del famoso romanzo omonimo di Charlotte Brontë? Bhè, io ho rimediato ora tocca a voi.
In questa versione lei è carina, più di come di solito siamo abituati a una protagonista “obscure” come si definisce lei:
“Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong! – I have as much soul as you, – and full as much heart! And if God had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you!”
Edward Fairfax Rochester è Ciarán Hinds, che ha sempre fascino da vendere.
Il focus è incentrato sui due protagonisti tralasciando tutti gli avvenimenti tra lei, sua zia la signora Reed e i suoi pessimi figli, sviscerato molto di più nella versione Miniserie della BBC, si omettono la relazione di Rivers con Jane e l’eredità dello zio paterno dalla sua tenuta a Madeira.
Definetly da vedere.
